Hello
👋🏾 I'm Monique Whitfield. I created this business for the world to Embrace Love More Often 💜. In particular, I have a passion for helping women understand their purpose in life. To love themselves more effectively and not to depend solely on a mans love, but want the man's love to add to the love they already have for themselves. I have a passion to help Black love stick together and understand one another and help people through their relationships.
My Story
I grew up in a household with six siblings, and I always felt unheard and unloved. Throughout my childhood, I struggled with anger issues and had a hard time expressing myself. I often resorted to fighting as a way to release my anger. As I got older, I realized that I was creating a persona that wasn’t true to who I really was, all while navigating this world.
At the age of 21, I met my now-husband. We faced many challenges together, including multiple breakups and the heartbreaking loss of two children. Despite everything, our love for each other continued to grow. We got married at 25, but we both brought our own issues into the relationship, which caused us to hurt one another.
In 2019, I decided to embark on a self-care journey to uncover what was blocking me. As I began to release my pain and hurt, I worked on living authentically and created my own "movie" (life). My dream has always been to help women feel whole within themselves, connect with their inner child, and cultivate the self-love that empowers them to walk into any room confidently, attracting the right partner.
I am currently in school to become a marriage and family therapist, with a focus on helping Black love stay strong. ELMO stands for Embrace Love More Often, so let's do it!
